In a town somewhere in the South, lives a young fisherman named Manolo who tries to stop the illegal practice of dynamite fishing. In doing so, he accidentally finds mermaid who was hurt by the dynamite used by other fishermen. He brings the mermaid to shore and to Manolo's surprise her fins disappeard and she became a normal person. She doesn't have a name and Manolo starts to refer to her as Michelle. The comedy and romance starts as Manolo brings Michelle to town.
